Graphic Designer

If you are a Graphic Designer…

Lin and Associates, Inc. is a control systems consulting firm that provides the Refining, Petrochemical, Pulp& Paper and other industries with innovative plant automation solutions. Do you have GUI (Graphical User Interface) or HMI (Human Machine Interface) configuration/programming experience? Do you have the eye for design layout and an understanding of how people react with good design layouts. Are you seeking a challenging work environment with a small company atmosphere? Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop New Human Machine Interface Graphics from P&IDs or existing legacy system graphics.
  • Develop scripting for graphics using Visual Basic, CSS and HTML.
  • Comprehend and interpret scripting from legacy system to understand how to convert the code to modern systems.

Requirements:

  • Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design, Design Management, Industrial Design or the equivalent of two years experience in related fields.
  • Understand of object oriented scripting: Visual Basic, etc.
  • Familiar with design software ( Ex. Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, etc.) and the ability to understand vendor-specific graphics software programs
  • Proficient in the use of PC applications (MS Excel, Word etc…)
  • Understand of color theory, visual layout, and human factors when it comes to process control design
  • Task oriented, project driven, self modivated
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Excellent communication skills within our organization as well as customers and vendors
  • Team Player
  • Availability and willingness to travel 30% of work time.
