Graphic Upgrade to Experion R301 - Lin & Associates upgraded the client’s current Experion® HMIWeb graphics from R211 to R301, this included approximately 120 displays from the boilerhouse and ULSD units. This also included the upgrade of the Lin & Associates Advanced Graphic Package to R2.5. With the new Experion release the client requested a customized faceplate that would handle set-point tolerance; it was created to look and function identical to standard Experion faceplates. Other tasks included custom shape updates, SafeView modification, new navigation menu, and console operator training.

Customized Compressor Controls Displays - Lin and Associates was tasked to with finding a solution for simplifying the operations of the panel mounted Compressor Controls Controllers (CCC control). We developed special Honeywell Experion® PKS graphics with fully customized scripting to mimic the panel, allowing operations to control from the console.

SRU & FCC SIS Integration - Lin & Associates provided a complete safety instrumented systems (SIS) solution for an SRU and FCC unit. We developed the Honeywell Safety Manager Module (SMM) point database, as well as setup the interface points between the Honeywell HPM & SMM. We also provided a SIS/Start-Up sub-picture library and built approximately 50 GUS graphics including interlock and valve testing graphics. Lin & Associates provided support for implementation and testing of the graphics and DCS configuration.

Wireless Tank Project - Lin & Associates has a unique opportunity to create Universal Station displays for an tank gauging system. The refinery has an old tank gauging system that has become unreliable and will be replaced by a redundant wireless system with the data being received by two Modicon PLC base stations. One base station will be connected to port 2 of the existing CLM and the data will be interfaced to the Honeywell SDM package. The other base station will be connected to a serial input card in the HPM. The HPM data will be moved to a separate AM to provide data conversion and alarming.
The key to the system reliability is to develop Universal Station displays that will collect and display both sets of tank data and alarm on any deviations in the two systems. We provided a detailed procedure on how to add the next tank to the system. Copies of CL programs with comments to describe the operations, operator training manual to highlight the operation of the displays and alarms with screen shots, and a detailed procedure for adding new tanks to the system highlighting all the operations required to complete the task were provided.

Process Control Modernization Project - Lin & Associates configured the HPM database for all base layer controls, complex loops, pump auto-starts, Peer-to-Peer NG points, and serial interfaces. Along with the database configuration we built approximately 45 Honeywell GUS process graphics, 5 Native Window graphics to display Peer-to-Peer data, and 20 IPF graphics. We configured the Honeywell to Triconex interface (SMM) and associated database, Honeywell LCN NCF, HM, history and operating groups. Lin & Associates provided onsite FAT and hot cutover support.

TDC 3000 to GUS Graphic Conversion - Lin & Associates converted approximately 625 graphics from Honeywell TDC Native Window to Honeywell GUS. We coordinated the graphic Site Integration Testing (SIT), configured the new NCF file and keyboard button assignments, developed PRIMMOD Exception Build files for loading on site, documentation, cutover support, and customized operator and engineering training.
